In 2008, NOBEL/Women will also address Fibromyalgia. While much is not known about the causes of this painful disease, research indicates that it is more prevalent in African American women. There is much more that can be done to improve and prevent all of these diseases from reaching such large proportions. NOBEL/Women through its Public Policy Committee and forums actively seeks solutions to help mitigate chronic disease and improve the health and lifestyles of children and families. NOBEL/Women with great passion and tenacity will continue to be at the forefront of these issues leading the way to good health for all.
